Psalms 51 My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

For the Leader.

A Psalm of David;

When Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba.

Bend down to me, O Almighty, according to Thy kindness;

according to the multitude of Thy compassions amplify my revolt.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

For I know my transgressions;

and my sin is ever before me.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Against Thee, Thee only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in Thy sight; {N}

that Thou mayest be justified when Thou speakest, and be in the right when Thou judgest.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Behold, Thou desirest truth in the inward parts;

make me, therefore, to know wisdom in mine inmost heart.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;

wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Make me to hear joy and gladness;

that the bones which Thou hast crushed may rejoice.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Create for me a clean heart, O Almighty;

and renew a stedfast spirit within me.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Cast me not away from Thy presence;

and take not Thy holy spirit from me.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Restore unto me the joy of Thy yeshua;

and let a willing spirit uphold me.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Then will I teach transgressors Thy ways;

and sinners shall return unto Thee.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O Almighty, Thou the Almighty of my yeshua; {N}

so shall my tongue sing aloud of Thy righteousness.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

My Master, open Thou my lips;

and my mouth shall declare Thy praise.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

For Thou delightest not in sacrifice, else would I give it;

Thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

The sacrifices of the Almighty are a broken spirit; {N}

a broken and a contrite heart, O Almighty, Thou wilt not despise.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Do good in Thy favour unto Zion;

build Thou the walls of Jerusalem.

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

כא אָז תַּחְפֹּץ זִבְחֵי-צֶדֶק, עוֹלָה וְכָלִיל;

Then wilt Thou delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, in burnt-offering and whole offering; {N}

then will they offer bullocks upon Thine altar. {P}

*My Mouth Shall Declare Thy Praise*

Chapter 52 *I Will Wait for Thy Name*

For the Leader.

Maschil of David;

when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, {N}

and said unto him:

‘David is come to the house of Ahimelech.’

Why boastest thou thyself of evil, O mighty man?

The kindness of the Almighty endureth continually.

*I Will Wait for Thy Name*

Thy tongue deviseth destruction;

like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

*I Will Wait for Thy Name*

Thou lovest evil more than good;

falsehood rather than speaking righteousness.

*I Will Wait for Thy Name*

[Selah]

Thou lovest all devouring words, the deceitful tongue.

*I Will Wait for Thy Name*

The Almighty will likewise break thee for ever, {N}

He will take thee up, and pluck thee out of thy tent, and root thee out of the land of the living.

*I Will Wait for Thy Name*

[Selah]

The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

*I Will Wait for Thy Name*

‘Lo, this is the man that made not the Almighty his stronghold; {N}

but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.’

*I Will Wait for Thy Name*

י וַאֲנִי, כְּזַיִת רַעֲנָן– בְּבֵית אֱלֹהִים;

But as for me, I am like a leafy olive-tree in the house of the Almighty; {N}

I trust in the kindness of the Almighty for ever and ever.

*I Will Wait for Thy Name*

I will give Thee thanks for ever, because Thou hast done it;

and I will wait for Thy name, for it is good, in the presence of Thy faithful one. {P}

*I Will Wait for Thy Name*

Psalms 53 *The Almighty turneth the Captivity of His People*

For the Leader;

upon Mahalath.

Maschil of David.

ב אָמַר נָבָל בְּלִבּוֹ, אֵין אֱלֹהִים;

The fool hath said in his heart:

‘There is no Almighty One’; {N}

they have dealt corruptly, and have done abominable iniquity;

there is none that doeth good.

*The Almighty turneth the Captivity of His People*

The Almighty looked forth from heaven upon the son of man, {N}

to see if there were any man of understanding, that did seek after the Almighty.

*The Almighty turneth the Captivity of His People*

Every one of them is unclean, they are together become impure;

there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

*The Almighty turneth the Captivity of His People*

‘Shall not the workers of iniquity know it, who eat up My people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Almighty?’

*The Almighty turneth the Captivity of His People*

There are they in great fear, where no fear was; {N}

for the Almighty hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee;

Thou hast put them to shame, because the Almighty hath rejected them.

*The Almighty turneth the Captivity of His People*

Oh that the yeshua of Israel were come out of Zion! {N}

When the Almighty turneth the captivity of His people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad. {P}

‘Doth not David hide himself with us?’

give ear to the words of my mouth.

*My Master is For Me The Upholder of My Soul*

they have not set the Almighty before them.

I am distraught in my complaint, and will moan;

*I Will Call Upon the Almighty and the Eternal Shall Save Me*

for they cast mischief upon me, and in anger they persecute me.
