The August 2 Bible

Psalms – 31,12 Because of all mine adversaries I am become a reproach, yea, unto my neighbours exceedingly, and a dread to mine acquaintance; {N} they that see me without flee from me.
31,13 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind;
I am like a useless vessel.
31,14 For I have heard the whispering of many, terror on every side; {N} while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life. 31,15 But as for me, I have trusted in Thee, O LORD;
I have said:
‘Thou art my God.’
31,16 My times are in Thy hand;
deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

Genesis – 38,26 And Judah acknowledged them, and said:
‘She is more righteous than I;
forasmuch as I gave her not to Shelah my son.’
And he knew her again no more.
38,27 And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb. 38,28 And it came to pass, when she travailed, that one put out a hand; and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying: ‘This came out first.’
38,29 And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold his brother came out; and she said:
‘Wherefore hast thou made a breach for thyself?’
Therefore his name was called Perez.
38,30 And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand; and his name was called Zerah. {S}
39,1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt;
and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh’s, the captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hand of the Ishmaelites, that had brought him down thither. 39,2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
39,3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. 39,4 And Joseph found favour in his sight, and he ministered unto him.
And he appointed him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.
39,5 And it came to pass from the time that he appointed him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake;
and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had, in the house and in the field. 39,6 And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand;
and, having him, he knew not aught save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was of beautiful form, and fair to look upon.
39,7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said:
‘Lie with me.’
39,8 But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife:
‘Behold, my master, having me, knoweth not what is in the house, and he hath put all that he hath into my hand; 39,9 he is not greater in this house than I;
neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?’
39,10 And it came to pass, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
39,11 And it came to pass on a certain day, when he went into the house to do his work, and there was none of the men of the house there within, 39,12 that she caught him by his garment, saying:
‘Lie with me.’
And he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.

Isaiah – 65,19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in My people;
and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
65,20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man, that hath not filled his days;
for the youngest shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner being a hundred years old shall be accursed. 65,21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them;
and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
65,22 They shall not build, and another inhabit, they shall not plant, and another eat;
for as the days of a tree shall be the days of My people, and Mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. 65,23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for terror; for they are the seed blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
65,24 And it shall come to pass that, before they call, I will answer, and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
65,25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent’s food.
They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, saith the LORD. {S} 66,1 Thus saith the LORD:
The heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool;
where is the house that ye may build unto Me?
And where is the place that may be My resting-place?
66,2 For all these things hath My hand made, and so all these things came to be, saith the LORD;
but on this man will I look, even on him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at My word. 66,3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man;
he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he broke a dog’s neck;
he that offereth a meal-offering, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that maketh a memorial-offering of frankincense, as if he blessed an idol;
according as they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations;
66,4 Even so I will choose their mockings, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer;
when I spoke, they did not hear, but they did that which was evil in Mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not. {S} 66,5 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at His word: Your brethren that hate you, that cast you out for My name’s sake, have said: ‘Let the LORD be glorified, that we may gaze upon your joy’, but they shall be ashamed.
66,6 Hark!
an uproar from the city, Hark!
it cometh from the temple, Hark!
the LORD rendereth recompense to His enemies.
66,7 Before she travailed, she brought forth;
before her pain came, she was delivered of a man-child.
66,8 Who hath heard such a thing?
Who hath seen such things?
Is a land born in one day?
Is a nation brought forth at once?
For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. 66,9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD;
Shall I that cause to bring forth shut the womb?
saith thy God. {S}
66,10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her; rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her;
66,11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breast of her consolations; that ye may drink deeply with delight of the abundance of her glory. {S} 66,12 For thus saith the LORD:
Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of the nations like an overflowing stream, and ye shall suck thereof: Ye shall be borne upon the side, and shall be dandled upon the knees. 66,13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
66,14 And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like young grass;
and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward His servants, and He will have indignation against His enemies. {S}
66,15 For, behold, the LORD will come in fire, and His chariots shall be like the whirlwind; to render His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire. 66,16 For by fire will the LORD contend, and by His sword with all flesh; and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
66,17 They that sanctify themselves and purify themselves to go unto the gardens, behind one in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the detestable thing, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD. 66,18 For I [know] their works and their thoughts;
[the time] cometh, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and shall see My glory.
66,19 And I will work a sign among them, and I will send such as escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard My fame, neither have seen My glory; and they shall declare My glory among the nations.

Ezra – E 6,1 Then Darius the king made a decree, and search was made in the house of the archives, where the treasures were laid up, in Babylon.
E 6,2 And there was found at Ahmetha, in the palace that is in the province of Media, a roll, and therein was thus written: ‘A record. {P}

E 6,3 In the first year of Cyrus the king, Cyrus the king made a decree:
Concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, let the house be builded, the place where they offer sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof threescore cubits;
E 6,4 with three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber, and let the expenses be given out of the king’s house;
E 6,5 and also let the gold and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought back unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, every one to its place, and thou shalt put them in the house of God.’ {S}
E 6,6 ‘Now therefore, Tattenai, governor beyond the River, Shethar-bozenai, and your companions the Apharesachites, who are beyond the River, be ye far from thence; E 6,7 let the work of this house of God alone;
let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God in its place.
E 6,8 Moreover I make a decree concerning what ye shall do to these elders of the Jews for the building of this house of God;
that of the king’s goods, even of the tribute beyond the River, expenses be given with all diligence unto these men, that they be not hindered.
E 6,9 And that which they have need of, both young bullocks, and rams, and lambs, for burnt-offerings to the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the word of the priests that are at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail;
E 6,10 that they may offer sacrifices of sweet savour unto the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, and of his sons.
E 6,11 Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let a beam be pulled out from his house, and let him be lifted up and fastened thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this;
E 6,12 and may the God that hath caused His name to dwell there overthrow all kings and peoples, that shall put forth their hand to alter the same, to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with all diligence.’ {P}

E 6,13 Then Tattenai, the governor beyond the River, Shethar-bozenai, and their companions, because that Darius the king had thus sent, acted with all diligence.
E 6,14 And the elders of the Jews builded and prospered, through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo.
And they builded and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the decree of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.
E 6,15 And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king. {P}

Mark – 11:23 – Amen I say to you, That whosoever shall say to this mountain,
Be lifted up, and fall into the sea, and shall not be divided in his heart, but shall believe that that thing which he speaketh is, he shall have the thing that he saith.

By what authority these things doest thou ?
and who gave thee the authority to do them ?
Mark 11:29 – But Jeshu said to them,
I also will ask you one word, that you may tell me, and I tell you by what authority I these things do. Mark 11:30 – The baptism of Juchanon, from whence was it ?
from heaven, or from the sons of man ?
Tell me.
Mark 11:31 – And they reasoned among themselves, and said,
If we say to him, that (it was) from heaven, he saith to us, And why did you not believe him ?
Mark 11:32 – And if we should say,
From the sons of man, there is fear from the people;
for all have held Juchanon that he was truly a prophet.
Mark 11:33 – And they answered, saying to Jeshu,
We know not.
He saith to them,
I also do not tell you by what authority I these things do.

1 John 3:19 – And by this we make known that we are of the truth, and before that he cometh we make confident our hearts.
1John 3:20 – And if our heart condemn us, how much (more) Aloha, who is greater than our heart, and knoweth every thing !
1John 3:21 – My beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have openness of face before Aloha.
1John 3:22 – And whatever we ask, we shall receive from him, because we keep his commandments, and do the things which are beautiful [Shaphirthö.] before him. 1John 3:23 – And this is his commandment,
That we believe in the name of his Son Jeshu Meshiha, and love one another, as he hath commanded us.
1John 3:24 – And he who keepeth his commandments, is kept by him, and he dwelleth in him: and by this we perceive that he dwelleth in us, by his Spirit whom [Hau d’yahab.] he hath given to us.
